The Department of Computer Engineering at Atma Malik Institute of Technology and Research is dedicated to shaping technically competent, innovative, and ethically grounded engineers with a deep sense of social and spiritual responsibility. With an approved intake of 60 students, the department offers a comprehensive curriculum aligned with University of Mumbai outcomes, combining strong theoretical foundations with extensive hands-on practical exposure. The curriculum focuses on core areas of computer engineering, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to address complex, real-world challenges.

Infrastructure & Experiential Learning

The department is supported by state-of-the-art, compute-intensive laboratories and actively promotes experiential learning through internships, industry-oriented projects, and collaborative initiatives that bridge classroom learning with real-world application.

To strengthen industry-academia partnerships, the department has established MoUs with GROK, Cloud Counselage, Cerebranium, University 3.0, and Value 3 Advisory — facilitating internships, skill development programs, and live projects that give students meaningful industry exposure.

M1: To impart strong foundational and advanced knowledge in computer engineering, aligned with University of Mumbai Program Outcomes, enabling students to analyze, design, and implement efficient computing solutions using modern tools and technologies.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO's)

On completion of the B.E. (Computer Engineering) degree, graduates will be able to:

PSO1: Model computational problems by applying mathematical concepts and design efficient solutions using appropriate data structures and algorithmic techniques.

PSO2: Design and develop computer programs and computer-based systems in areas such as algorithms, operating systems, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, IoT, and data analytics, addressing problems of varying scale and complexity.

PSO3: Stay abreast of emerging trends in industrial and research domains, and apply this knowledge to devise innovative solutions to existing real-world problems.

 

Program Education Objectives (PEO's)

Program Educational Objectives define the professional and personal abilities, skills, and accomplishments expected of graduates within a few years of completing the program. The department periodically assesses its graduates' achievements to evaluate whether these objectives have been successfully met.

Within three to five years of graduating from the Computer Engineering & Systems (CES) program, graduates are expected to have:

PEO1: Applied their knowledge of mathematics, computing, systems, and development tools to design and develop innovative products or processes, while contributing effectively as members — and, where appropriate, leaders — of multi-disciplinary teams.

PEO2: Pursued graduate studies or continuing education programs to enhance their professional skills, while making meaningful contributions to their community and society through the application of knowledge and abilities gained during their undergraduate education in computer engineering and systems.

PEO3: Demonstrated sound professional judgment and decision-making in their work, reflecting a strong commitment to ethical practices and responsibilities as engineering professionals.
